Publication Ethics Policy
The International Journal of Social Science and Entrepreneurship (IJSSE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal expects all participants in the publication process—including authors, reviewers, editors, editorial board members, and the publisher—to uphold internationally accepted standards of research integrity and publication ethics.
IJSSE follows a rigorous editorial and peer review process to ensure that published research is original, reliable, scientifically sound, and ethically conducted. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, image manipulation, or any other form of research or publication misconduct.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, accurately report research findings, appropriately acknowledge the work of others, disclose any conflicts of interest, and obtain all necessary ethical approvals where applicable.
Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, confidential, and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts while maintaining the confidentiality of the peer review process.
Editors are responsible for making independent, fair, and unbiased editorial decisions based solely on the scholarly merit of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by commercial interests, institutional affiliations, nationality, gender, religion, or political beliefs of the authors.
The publisher supports editorial independence and is committed to safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record by addressing ethical concerns promptly, transparently, and fairly.
Where evidence of potential research misconduct is identified before or after publication, the journal reserves the right to investigate the matter and take appropriate editorial action in accordance with its established policies, including correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other appropriate measures where necessary.
The journal periodically reviews and updates its publication ethics policies to ensure
continued alignment with internationally recognized standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Social Science and Entrepreneurship (IJSSE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
● copying or reproducing text, ideas, figures, tables, images, or other intellectual
content without appropriate acknowledgment;
● presenting another person's work as one's own;
● self-plagiarism or redundant publication without proper disclosure;
● inappropriate paraphrasing or failure to cite original sources;
● submission of substantially similar manuscripts to multiple journals.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted work is original and that all sources are properly cited. Where a manuscript is derived from a thesis, dissertation, conference paper, or other previous work, this must be disclosed during submission.
All manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software and other editorial assessment tools as part of the initial editorial evaluation. Similarity reports are used to support editorial assessment and do not, by themselves, determine editorial decisions. Each submission is evaluated individually based on the nature, context, and extent of any identified text overlap.
Image manipulation that alters, misrepresents, or falsifies research findings is strictly
prohibited. Adjustments to images are acceptable only when applied uniformly and where they do not affect the scientific interpretation of the content.
Where plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate image manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified, the journal may request clarification, require revision, reject the manuscript, or take appropriate editorial action in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics Policy and Research Misconduct Policy.
If misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, publish an expression of concern, retract the article, or take other appropriate measures to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. In cases of serious or repeated misconduct, the journal reserves the right to restrict future submissions from the author(s).
